I’ve always enjoyed photography. My love for it came in high school. I took one class that lead to another class that lead to being photo editor of my senior annual. I could be in there for hours, fidgeting with the enlarger, watching images flash onto photo paper, and then watching my visions and interpretations of things magically appear on that photo paper in just seconds. It really was magical to me. I haven’t touched a darkroom since. Thinking of that has always made me feel sad – not quite whole. Digital photography and Lightroom has helped with that feeling of loss, but I know I will return to the darkroom someday. Even to just for a little while.
Currently, I’m slowly and carefully putting together a portfolio of images I’ve taken/produced over the years that excites me, makes me feel nostalgic, sends out signals, makes you go hmmm, or makes me want to work harder to hone and shape my craft. When I get that set up, I’ll post the link here and elsewhere. But for now, you can check out a random collection of my photos on my Flickr page.
